Bandits Begin Playdowns with Dominating 3-0 Win
Perhaps no statistic tells the story of this evening's game as well as this one: over the course of this season, the Bandits have averaged roughly 17 shots per game against opposing goalies; in tonight's game, they took 22 shots... in the second period ALONE. In fact, after two periods, the shot totals were 28 shots for, and just 10 against; and the final game tally was 37 to 21.

The team came out flying, as it often has. But in this game, the Bandits just kept coming. The first goal, on a power play, came in the first period on a point shot from Austin, which seemed to deflect in off an opposing player on the Orange Bandits. The second goal, also on a power play, came a period later after sustained pressure in the Orange Bandits end, with AP defenseman Brandon L. pinching in to shoot a bullet past the startled opposing goalie. The final goal, by Brett was  a late third period empty netter shot from deep in our own end. In between these three goals, the Bandits had numerous chances that just failed to click.

And when the Orangemen DID have chances of their own, Dylan was their to make every save, earning him hi second shutout of the year, and the team its second consecutive shutout.

Three Stars:
1. Dylan, for a 21-save shutout
2. Justis, for 2 assists and numerous excellent scoring chances
3. Brandon L., for a goal and very steady play on D.

That said, the entire team played exceptionally well... certainly the team's most dominating win of the year. The next game is Friday night with a berth in the city finals just one win away.
