Fort Erie Winter Classic Tournament Champs!!
The Bandits travelled to Fort Erie this weekend to take part in the Fort Erie Winter Classic.
The Bandits won the first game of the tournament. We then had a great game against Waterloo Timber Wolves but unfortunately came out on the losing end. This fired the boys up though and they came out flying Saturday morning in a must win game against St. Catharines. Where we prevailed 3-2 and one of the most exciting games of the season.
This put us in 3rd place (10 team division). We matched up against the Waterloo Ice Wolves Sunday morning in the Semi Finals. This was another exciting game with a fast pace and end to end action. The Bandits fought through some penalty trouble and wound up with a 2-1 victory.
This put us into the finals where we would have a rematch against a tough St. Catharines team that upset the top ranked Timber Wolves in the other Semi-Final. The Bandits were tired, battered and bruised but we knew what we had to do. The Bandits came out of the gate flying and never stopped. We proved to tough for an exhausted St. Catharines team and won the championship 4-1!
Congrats to the boys for an awesome tournament and to the parents for all the driving and for cheering us on, we have the best fans in the province!
