Welcome to the 2016/2017 season for the London Bandits Tier 1 MD
My name is Jason Turner and I’m excited to be coaching this team this season. I’d like to share some important notes and thoughts about the team and season to ensure everyone has the same information.
Our first tryout on ice session will be held on Tuesday September 6th at 6:30pm at Argyle Arena.
It is strongly recommended that all players trying out for Novice Rep Hockey this season go through the Tier 1 tryout progression before attending the Tier 2 tryouts.
During tryouts, all updates will be posted on this website. In order to participate in the tryouts, your child must be registered via the London Bandits website.
Our tryout evaluations will be supported by all non-parent evaluators to ensure a fair process. All players should bring water bottles; goalies are asked to bring their own jerseys. If the jersey has their name on it, that is very helpful. Your child is guaranteed 2 skates before the first round of cuts will be made.
In addition to the tryout dates posted on the site, I will be adding exhibition games as well, so please check the website often for updates.
We all understand that tryouts are part of competitive athletics; however, they are a stressful process for players, parents, and coaches. Please support and encourage your child during this process.
Once the team has been selected, we will have a mandatory player / parent meeting where all parties will sign intent to play form. This meeting will take place at my home on Thursday September 15th at 6:30pm. Please check the website for details. We will collect our first team fee at the meeting of $325.00 so please bring your cheque book.
