General Rules & Oversight
All Hockey Canada rules apply & the OHF Suspension List will be used for MAJOR, MISCONDUCT & MATCH penalties.
Additional suspensions may be applied by the Tournament Chair.
All suspensions must be confirmed with the tournament office.
Tournament Coordinator has final authority on all rules, regulations & protests.
THERE WILL BE NO VIDEO REVIEWS. Team Requirements & Logistics
Maximum 20 players per team (inclusive of skaters and goalies) & maximum 5 officials on the bench.
OFFICIAL ROSTERS must be on file with Tournament Coordinator prior to the first game.
Players may play for only one team during the tournament (including APs)
AP players require proper documentation &
prior approval from the Tournament Coordinator.
Home Team is determined by schedule, will wear dark jerseys & must change if there’s a conflict.
Game Day Procedures
Teams must arrive 45 minutes before scheduled game time and be ready to play 15 minutes early.
3-minute warm-up then teams will shake hands before each game and Visiting team will leave the ice first after the game.
No entry onto ice during flooding until Zamboni is off and doors are closed.
Dressing Room Info
Rooms must be vacated promptly after each game and will be inspected by Arena staff.
Keys available at Guest Services (Western Fair) or from tournament volunteers.
Game Format & Playing Rules
Periods: 10-10-10 (stop time) with curfew, however, if there is less than 2 minutes on the me clock, in round robin & quarter finals, the game will be
played out un l clock expires. In semi-finals and finals there will be NO curfew.
No timeouts in preliminary round & ONE timeout per team in quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
Running Clock Rule- If there is a 5+ goal difference at the start of the 3rd period clock, or at any me in the 3rd period, the clock will continue to run
and will only stop if the lead is reduced to 2 goals or less.
Scoring & Standings
Tie Games in Round Robin remain a e a er regulation.
Max 7-goal differential counts toward standings (e.g., 10–0 becomes 7–0).

Overtime & Shootouts
Quarterfinals & Semifinals: 5-min 3v3 Sudden Death OT
Penalties: 3v2 if one penalty, 4v2 if second penalty occurs
If still tied → 3-player shootout & Shooters must be listed on iPad before the game. If there
is still a tie, shooters will be chosen from the bench until there have been 10 shooters.
Then it will start over with the first 3 shooters.
Championship Game: Sudden Death OT (first goal wins)
3 min 4v4, then 3 min 3v3, then 3 min 2v2, then 1v1 until someone scores. OT penalties:
a player is added to the team that is not penalized for the duration of the other team’s
penalty.
Other Important Info
Referee decisions are
FINAL.
Forfeits: If a team fails to show, the game is awarded as a 3–0 loss.
