This past weekend the London Bandits Novice Tier 2 team traveled to Stoney Creek for their first tournament of the year.
Stellar goaltending, strong defence, and a solid forecheck had the team go undefeated in pool play and finish first in their division. After defeating the Lasalle Sabres in the semi-finals, the team took on a tough Belle River team in the finals. A rough start to the game including posts and 2 disallowed goals had the Bandits tied 0-0 after one period of play and down by one early in the second period. The team kept with it though and their constant pressure started to wear down the other team. The rest of the game was all London as they tallied 4 goals before the second period was through and another 2 late in the third to be crowned tournament champions.
