It is with great honor that we present the Pierre Sonier Coach of the Year Award to Mike Clements, an exceptional U15BB assistant coach whose dedication and mentorship have made a profound impact on the lives of many young athletes. Neil Barker Award
Coach Nick Holmes exemplifies the spirit of dedication and ethical coaching that Neil embodied during his years with LMHA. Nick's respectful and kind approach towards each player has not only fostered teamwork but also cultivated a love for hockey, leading the U9 A2 House league team from a modest beginning to a commendable second-place season finisher. His commitment to individual growth, combined with a positive attitude even in challenging times, has resonated with both players and parents, who have expressed profound gratitude for the enthusiasm he’s instilled in their children. Nick’s return to coaching after several years, particularly as a non-parent coach, showcases his unwavering dedication to the development of young athletes and his impactful influence within the community, making him a deserving candidate for this prestigious award.
George Bray Award
Suzanne Whitmore is an exemplary candidate for the George Bray Award, reflecting the spirit of dedication and selflessness that George Bray represented. With nearly 20 years of volunteer service, she has taken on various roles within the London Bandits Hockey Association, including stepping up as registrar when needed, while also mentoring new coaches and supporting families in the community. Suzanne’s incredible organizational skills, initiative in leading charitable efforts, and her ongoing commitment to enhancing the association make her a cornerstone of the organization, deserving recognition for her tireless efforts to ensure that all players, coaches and volunteers receive the support they need.
