Neil Barker Tournament
Hey Bandit Flyers family,
Firstly, a BIG congrats to our Champions the London Bandits 'Flyers' Minor Atom 43 on they're Championship at the Jayden Elmore Memorial Tournament!!!!
What a weekend guys what a weekend, undefeated 6-0-0. So proud of you guys players and family and a big thanks to the coaching staff for all the help. We showed up to every game and did our jobs, played hockey and had fun and that's what hockey is all about. I hope you all get some rest for our next tournament this weekend. We are in Pool C, you can see the schedule or our team scheddy for our set. I really hope each player can make it to each game. Though life is life, we can't make it to every game. So please remind me at practice Thursday at 6 at Nichols A.
Couple tournament rules i wanted to point out that i thought is relavant.
4. Teams are asked to be at the arena 45 minutes before their scheduled game time. Teams should be prepared and read to play 15 minutes ahead of schedule start times, should tournament conditions permit.
5. No one is allowed on the ice during the flooding, until the Zamboni has left the ice and the doors are closed. Teams will be limited to a 3 minute warm-up. Teams will shake hands before each game. Visiting team will leave the playing surface first after each game.
6. Players will only be allowed to participate with one team in the tournament, regardless of AP Status. All AP players must be approved by the Tournament Director with the appropriate documentation. Please speak with the Tournament director prior to coming to the tournament re this direction.
7. Dressing rooms are to be vacated promptly after the game has been completed. Arena staff will inspect the room prior to the n ext team entering. Keys for the dressing room are available from Guest services at the Western Fair and with arena staff at other facilities.
8. If 5 or more goal differential at start of the 3rd period the clock, will Run and will only stop if teams comes within 2 goals
9. Games for all division will be 10-10-10, stop time periods. Games will not have a curfew. No time outs are allowed in preliminary rounds, one per team in the quarter, semi and finals.
10. Preliminary games resulting in a tie after regulation time will remain in a tie.
11. Please note only a 7 goal spread will show and count towards the standings example 7 - 0 will be 7 - 0 , 10 to 1 will be 7 to 1 , 12 to 4 will be 11 to 4 .
12. Preliminary Round Standings will be determined by the following in descending order:
a) Most points - 2 for a win, 1 for a tie
b) Head-to-head competition if only 2 teams are tied
c) Using the results of the preliminary round robin games, the team with the highest result using the formal: _ Goals for divided by Goals for + Goals Against
d) The team that scored the most goals in the preliminary round robin
e) The team that allowed the fewest goals again in the preliminary round robin
f) The team that scored the earliest goal in their first game in the tournament
g) Coin Toss
13 If a tie exists after regulation time in quarter or semi-final game,
a)There will be sudden death over time 5 min of 3 on 3 ( no line changes on whistles )
b)If a penalty occurs then you lose a man ,
c) if you get down to 1 player the other team will add on a player .
d) If still tied then a 3 man shoot out ,
14 In the championship game if tied after regulation there will be a sudden death overtime 3 min of 4 on 4 , then 3 min of 3 on 3 , then 3 min of 2 on 2 , 3 min of 1 on 1 , then 3 min of 1 on 1 with no goalies . no Line changes on the whistles
