Winter Session- Here we go!
The London Bandits is pleased to announce with the City of London going from Grey to the "RED" phase we will be able to offer a program 

Hello Parents:

We have some exciting news for you! With the City entering from Grey to Red, the London Bandits is able to offer some programming for our players to get some exercise, get some additional skills, sharpen our hockey abilities and have some fun all in a safe environment.

We have to remember that our MHU rules still apply to wearing masks in the rink, to filling in our javelin app, to arriving only 15 mins prior our ice time. On our website you will find all the details. Once we have kids on a team we will create a javelin team for them .

Our registration will be offered in a different capacity. All registrations will be going through our website and not our registrars. Paypal (credit card is the only option available at this time). We will confirm your registration once we have teams of 10 players. If we move to Orange, the only adjustment will be more players on the ice, the rest will stay the same.

The London Bandits would like to announce the return to play for the London region,

The Province of Ontario has announced that the London Region will gradually transition out of Lockdown on February 16th, 2021,

The city of London has advised that it intends to reopen arena’s in London commencing on February 17th.

Program Length

Approximately 5 weeks (February 20th – March 26th)

  • Program duration subject to City of London facility availability and changes to Public health restrictions.

  • All participants will keep their jerseys at the end of the session.

Red Zone Programming -$150/player

  • On ice programming limited to individual skills

  • Maximum 10 players + 2 coaching staff on the ice

  • 10 skates for all divisions

  • No Dressing rooms- (players must come fully dressed minus skates)

  • 1 Parent/Guardian permitted ( no siblings)

Orange Zone Programming- $150/player

  • Skills developments, and game play following Hockey Canada

  • 20 players + 4 coaching

  • 10 skates for all divisions

  • 1 Parent/Guardian permitted (no siblings)

Program Structure

The nature and scope of our hockey programming will be dependent on the prevailing public health restrictions in place from time to time in London region during Phase 2

While we are currently expecting the London Region will still be under the current “Red” Control level when our hockey operations resume, our programming will be designed to all us to move to more regular hockey 5v5, including game play, once London moves into the less restrictive Orange, yellow or Green

 

House League/MD/Mustangteam rosters and composition will remain “as-is” to the extent possible, however, some player movement may be required to comply with public health guidelines and restrictions as well as to accommodate registration numbers.

REGISTRATION

All players registered in PHASE 1 – (October- December ) are the only registrants that will be able to register in this session.

Any new players will be placed on a wait list, upon acceptance you will be subject to an additional $130.00 fee for insurance/administration.

Registration will take place with each of our local associations, please contact your association for direction on this.

Registration and payment portal will openFebruary 13th.

There is a limited space in our program. Registration will close February 17, 2021 at midnight.

All Registrations must go through the London Bandits website, please don’t contact our registrars about your registration.

Javelin, the app with a mobile screening process that ensures safe regulation and participation in sport. Our health screening process asks coaches and players a variety of questions to determine if they're at risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

PUBLIC HEALTH REMINDERS

As we prepare to head back to the rinks, GLHA would like to remind its members of the following public health protocols:

  • MASKS must be worn at all times inside the arena

  • PARENTS must remain in their designated off-ice area and maintain social distancing of 2m at all times

  • COVID-SCREENING must be completed by all participants prior to each ice time and checked by the coach

  • Parent limits will be in effect for each colour code Red/Orange – 1 parent per age group, no siblings.

GLHA will continue to monitor the public health situation in the London Region and will take additional measures, including cessation of hockey operations, as circumstances require.
