Timekeeper Kept Busy in 6-5 Loss
You know you're watching a free-wheeling brand of hockey when there is a goal for AND a goal against on the same shift. In this game, this happened TWICE. There also were four goals scored in the last five or so minutes. It was almost like the football saying: the last team with the ball will win. For this game, insert the word 'puck' for 'ball' and you'd be close.

As usual, Kyle was phenomenal in net, the 6 goals the result of 36 shots. In 30 minutes of hockey, that's 1.2 shots per minute. However, the other goalie was just as busy, letting in 5 goals on 36 shots, with several posts and cross-bars peppered into the mix.

The line of Dylan (#4), Kasey (#3) and Christian (#6) was phenomenal, scoring 4 of the A team's goals, setting up the fifth goal, and amassing 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) and 16 shots on net between them. Dylan tallied for a hat-trick, opening the scoring and scoring again in the first period so that the A team carried a 3-1 lead into the first break.

The opposition roared back in the second period, though, scoring three unanswered goals to lead 4-3 going into the third period. And that's when the four goals in the last five minutes occurred, the potentially-tying goal hitting a post in the dying seconds with Kyle on the bench for the extra attacker.

THREE STARS:

1. Dylan (3 G, 1 A, +1, 6 shots - WOW!)

2. Kasey (1 G, 3 A, +1, 6 shots - again, WOW!)

3. Christian (0 G, 2 A, +1, 4 shots - and again... WOW!)

Honorable mention goes to Kyle for making 30 saves (that's one per minute), Cal for chipping in the fifth goal (which actually was the second goal), and Mitch for flying all night.

Next game is next Sunday, February 28th @ 9:30 PM at Argyle Arena vs. Bandits C.
