Our First Tournament Victory of the Season
The boys where very excited for most of them this was there first tournament of many to come .
What better way to start the year being in the falls with things going on everywhere . Our first game was Friday morning so most of us went down Thursday night ( the moms needed more time in the morning to get ready ) . We came out nervous against a very good Richmond hill team and where down 3 to nothing before we even knew what hit us . We fought back hard and battled our way back to a come from behind victory . Onto game two where we where up against a team from North Toronto the passing was a thing of beauty , Ethan , Daniel and Cody lite this game up Lucas , Roman , Darcy , Maddox , Ben and Rowan had a great turn around game on defence helping out our keepers Dylan and Matthew who on this day did not want to give up a goal .
onto game 3 we where up against Woodstock the train was still rolling as Nathan , Tanner and Jaden had there best game of the weekend leading the charge for us giving us a birth into the semi finals . Standing in our way was the Brantford 99ers who came out fast and hard and made us work for everything as Ryan , Colin , Nicholas and Ethan lead the charge and never looked back .
Onto our first final of the season again we where playing the Richmond hill stars a very strong team and we knew it was going to be a battle . They came out strong the game was back and fourth till they took a 3 goal lead , we could of quit but that's not in us we fought hard to tie it at 9 then we scored two to finish with an 11 to 9 victory , What a game , two great teams fighting hard to the end , the parents where treated to a thriller
Our first tournament was a success and the coaches could not be more proud . Let's keep working hard and enjoy the ride
