RISE TO THE TOP...
What a fantastic weekend of hockey from the U11 MD Bandits!!

This weekend saw the rise of the U11 Squad all the way to the top of the Tier 2 Standings.

Saturday the team started off slow, feeling out their legs from a light practice week. The 2nd period started and they were off and running; cruising to a 4-1 victory over the Jr Navy Vets.

Sunday was a battle for 1st place as the Bandits faced off with the North London Nationals on their home rink at Carling. The play was end to end but the Bandits got on the board first, a second time and a third!!! Leading 3-0 with 2 minutes left in the period... those pesky Nationals kept charging and hemmed the Bandits into their zone and popped two of their own to end the 1st period at 3-2...

Penalties were the story of the second period and finished 3-2... The Bandits popped home an insurance goal and won their 7th in a row 4-2 and now lead the division with 18 points!!

The U11 Squad if off to Burlington for two road games this weekend; where there is a scenario that could see them punch their ticket and officially qualify for the 2024 Alliance Championships Tournament.
