Silver Stick Regional Champions!
This weekend the boys headed down the 401 to Chatham to participate in the Silver Stick Regionals.
The team started the weekend On Friday morning with a 10-0 win over the Kent Cobras, and finished day 1 off with a 3-1 victory over the Aurora Tigers.
Heading into Saturday it was a battle of the divisions two undefeated teams, with a win and you're in scenario. Despite the teams best efforts, the Caledon Hawks kept the Bandits at bay and left the Bandits with a 2-1 loss. Despite this loss, the strong play of the boys throughout the weekend helped land the Bandits in a wild card spot for championship Sunday.
Coming into Sunday the boys faced off in the semi-finals against the top seeded Halton Hills Thunder, after a strong start to the game, the Bandits never looked back coming away with a 7-0 win. In the last game for all the marbles, the Bandits faced a strong Cambridge Hawks team. After a back and forth battle all game, your London Bandits were successful, completing the tournament with a 4-2 and a birth at the Silver Stick finals in Pelham next month.
In the five games this weekend, the boys put 25 pucks in the net and only gave up 5 goals.
