Stratford Tournament Recap
Hello Players and Families,
What an amazing weekend we had in Stratford and St. Marys! Although we did not win every game or come home with a trophy, the team was able to become closer together and make on and off-ice memories that are more important that statistics. I am proud of each player for their perseverance throughout each game and I appreciate each parent and relative who was able to make it out this weekend.
On that note, there were a few points the coaches and I were stressing this weekend. We will continue to send positive messages about working hard, being first to the puck, battling for the puck aggressively, passing the puck, and playing like a team! It was fun to watch our family come together all weekend and thoroughly enjoy spending time with eachother.
Again, even though we did not get the "ideal results", the team was able to realize that hard work and effort gets rewarded. More importantly, the team was able to create on and off ice memories and bond with eachother; I believe that is more important than statistics.
Looking forward to the beginning of our season next week :)
P.S., I hope everyone was able to enjoy their sleep this morning lol
