Weekend Recap (Oct 21-2)
The U11 MD Bandits went 0-1-1 this weekend, playing some hard nosed teams that really tested our skills.
The played West London on Saturday and played a competitive rival, ending in a draw.
The Hawks opened up the scoring early in the first period while the Bandits held themselves in the game, battling off chance after chance. The second period saw the Bandits score to even things up at 1-1 and the teams traded goals in the third period to end the game at 2-2.
Sunday matinee saw the Bandits at home for the first time this season against a strong Waterloo Wolves team riding a 3-game winning streak entering the Argyle Saloon... The Wolves struck in the first to take the lead, before trading goals (and penalties) in the second period, ending the second frame with a 2-1 lead... The third period saw the Bandits tie up the game at 2-2 early before the Bandits got hemmed into their own end and unable to clear, a hard shot along the ice squeaked by and was the game winning goal. Bandits fall, 4-2.
Tough weekend Bandits but there is still a lot of hockey left before seeding. Lets go get'em Bandits!!
