Below you will find information related to the 2024/2025 U15BB Bandits Team, including information on tryout process, schedule, and evaluation criteria. I would like to thank all athletes and parents in advance for participating in the tryout process. I understand that this can be a stressful time for many families, please encourage your young athletes to do their very best and enjoy the process.

If you do not see your name on the list please contact the Bandits registrar asap.
TRYOUT PROCESS:
1. Please arrive 30 mins before the tryout begins.
2. When you arrive at the first tryout, please look for a Bandits representative near the arena to get your assigned jersey. This jersey must be returned at the end of each tryout. It does not go home.
3. Full protective gear is mandatory. Players without, or missing such equipment will NOT be allowed on the ice. These players are old enough to make sure their bag is prepared.
4. If you will be missing any tryout due to uncontrollable events or prior commitments, please email me to let me know asap. My email is [email protected]
5. As said, there will be a team of independent evaluators who will be assisting me with assessing the players. During and after the tryout, please do not approach the evaluators, as they have a job to do.
6. All communications of my decisions and updates will be done via the website and NOT in person at the arena.
TEAM STAFF
This team will be looking to add 2 assistant coaches, 1 trainer, a treasurer, and manager to the staff.
PLAYER POSITIONS
While I appreciate player and parent position preferences, please note that the coaching staff will determine all player positions for the upcoming season, without exception.
TEAM EXPECTATIONS
The 2024/2025 season will begin in October. Further details will follow. The schedule will consist of approximately 1-2 games per week and at least 1-2 practices per week. In addition, we plan on entering 4 tournaments this year with at least one of them in the US, 2 local, and one out of town.
Parents may be called upon to obtain sponsorship and organize fundraising activities to help offset these costs and to support the team. Competitive hockey is a serious commitment, I encourage you to give consideration to these requirements before the tryout process. While the commitments are significant, competitive hockey is an extremely rewarding experience for both athletes and families.
